I woke up at 6:30 AM on Sunday. I am now officially out of the anti-inflammatory drug but I was still sore. So, I went back to Melissa’s idea and took a long soak in an Epsom salt bath.
I decided that I would forget about changing out the plugs and switches in the living room until after the holidays. So, I took a little stiff brush I have (for cleaning grout) and scrubbed as much of the wine-colored paint off each plug and put on the new cream-colored plate.
I also installed the new cold air return and heat registers. That apparently surpassed the limits of my bending over and/or kneeling down quota. My back was killing me!
So, I took a pain pill and took a nap.
When I woke up, I carefully slid the ice chest and the barrister bookcase back into place. I also hung up the pictures and the two oars that go on that wall. I’ll put up the lures and stuff some other time (too much bending over).
I then switched to the new drapes. Following what I thought was the best advice so far, I washed them lightly in cold water, dried them part of the way on low and hung them up to finish during in place.
Imagine how depressed I was to see that they had shrunk a good six inches! So, in spite of my lengthy search for them, and then paying a woman to hem them, they are now too short!!!
I think I should have washed them first, and then had her hem them. Be that as it may, they are up and they are staying.
I was losing the light, so I quit for the evening. I ate the last two hot dogs for dinner, watched my Sunday shows and went to bed at 11:00 PM.
Have you had an Ortho doctor look at your back? Your about as crippled as your older good looking brother - but you don't get the credit!

Thanks! I plan on doing that if I can live through the Holidays.
ReplyDeletedoing what? Going to Ortho or trying to be "as good looking a your brother?"
ReplyDeleteNo, going to an Othro doctor. I gave up on being as good looking as you years ago!
