Then it was Wednesday

It was another cold day on Wednesday, but the highs are slowly creeping up. It’s supposed to get to 51 degrees F. today. I swear March was like June and now April is like March! Weird!

Once at work, I took care of returning some calls from voicemails at home first thing in the morning. Then I got a call form the landscaping company that cuts my grass. The girl said, “Well, Mr. Goerlich, what do you think?” I said, “Um, what do I think about what?” She said, “The mulch job, of course!” I started laughing and explained I’d been to the doctor’s yesterday and never noticed it had been done. She seemed so disappointed that I said, “I promise I will go home tonight and walk out to look at it, then I’ll call you tomorrow and “ooh” and “ah” about it!”

So, when I got home, I did walk out back (with my camera) and inspected it. It’s not as deep as I would have liked (maybe 3-4 inches and I was hoping for more like 6) and there was some trash that had moved in after they did it, but all and all, it looks pretty good. I was surprised and pleased that they had done under the play structure as well (we never talked about that). I took some pictures for you.

Back inside, I changed clothes. B___ called to see how my doctor visit was. I told him how well it went, and then I ranted a little about her insistence that I drink that crap and try to gain more weight. I said “I don’t think being six foot tall and weighing 185 pounds is anorexic!” He said he doesn’t believe it’s about how much I actually weigh, but rather that I look “frail” and have since I’ve been hospitalized, in his eyes. That may be it, now that I think about it.

I really need to lose this brace and walker and get some exercise!

Dinner was another chicken pot pie, with a snack of a hunter sausage later on.

I watched parts of the Redwings game and read in between. I shut the TV off when it was done (we lost) and tried just to read. But, I immediately started to doze, so I shut off the light and went to sleep, instead.
