Throwback Thursday

There was no snow on Thursday, but it was colder.

UPS dropped off my new Lenovo tablet at work. I’m still not sure why I bought it, but it was a good price.

I went to Time Out at lunch and got a cheeseburger and a bowl of potato soup. Both were excellent. Then I went to the bank and got some cash for the house.

On the way home, the sun was out!!! But, it was still cold.

I went out and refilled the feeders before it got dark.

Back inside, I changed clothes and got to work. One of the things on my ToDo list since January 1 was to sharpen my knives. So, I got down the electric knife sharpener and did that. I did the Asian first and then the Euro/American ones.

Sidebar: I’m not being a smart-ass here. They have different angles on the knife edge. Asian knives are thinner with a 15 degree edge. Euro/American are wider with typically a 20 degree edge.

It took a long time (I missed Jeopardy), but I got them all done. Each one can slice through a loosely-held piece of paper like a razor.

I checked the TV Guide and didn’t see anything interesting. So, I watched a taped movie. Well, I started it, but fell asleep before the end.

  2. Thanks! I try to do it once a year and use the steel to keep them right the rest of the time.
