Birthdays are weird! Not sure about you, but I get awfully reflective. Usually end up bummed out, lol! Decided that what I really needed to do what clean the house (that cookie baking yesterday left quite a mess)!
Also decided I needed a gourmet birthday dinner, so marinated two filets of grouper (not sure I'll like the fish, but love the name!) in a half a bottle of Pinot Grigio for four hours to lose the "fishy" smell.
Meanwhile, cleaned house like a demon. Decided, new year, new rules, so cleaned out my closets. Anything I haven't worn in a while went into a bag for the Salvation Army - I have WAY too many, WAY too old clothes. I want to cut down the clutter that my kids will have to wade through when I die, if that makes any sense.
Anyway, much later, made Grouper al Forno con Funghi Trifilati, with a side of wild rice for my dinner. It was FANTASTIC!!!
Now working on a cheesecake to take to Christmas dinner tomorrow at Jake and Carla's. This is probably the last entry for today, so, Merry Christmas, everyone!
