I was just about to cut down the 6 dead trees against the back wall when Jake and Carla stopped by and offered to help. So, I got all my extension cords and the sawzall (still haven't gotten a longer blade). Jake pooh-poohed the sawzall and used a handsaw to cut his trees down. Meanwhile, I showed Carla how you cut a notch on the side you want the tree to fall, then cut the other side.
She was a pro! Especially at cutting off the branches after the trees were down. Then Jake suggested using the electric hedgetrimmer to cut down the pickers, weeds, etc. So, I started that and then Carla wanted to try it.
After a bit, it bounced off a springy branch and towards her leg. She put her hand down to ward it off and cut the hell out of her finger!
Jake had her apply pressure while he drove her to the Emergency Room. End result? Three stitches and a tetanus shot that still hurts today...
