Math Problems and a Meal

Last night I moved the last of the brush pile in front (from trimming the maple and the black walnut - come on, you remember!) to the very back of my yard. Since I know how far it is, just out of curiosity, I did the math: 5 trips back and forth, three using the wheel barrow filled with brush, and two dragging the longer branches that wouldn't fit in the wheel barrow is 3,000 feet or just over 1/2 a mile. No wonder my calves are killing me!

On the other hand, why am I whining? I got Jeremy's email last night, (but didn't get on until it was too late to call my Mom and tell her they are back, safe and sound) letting me know that they had returned from hiking the Appalachian Trail: "We estimate that, including the side trails we took, we hiked 120 miles in the Shenandoah. Added to our practice hikes, that's some 200 miles spent in-pack." (Groan)

I also used my blower to blow off the debris on both patios, the picnic table slab and the slab under the sailboat. Then I cleaned out the reflecting pool and refilled it.

Made my Sunday dinner last night. It was very tasty with a light, "Springtime" flavor. I had to made some substitutions, but it turned out to be "Linguine with asparagus, mushrooms, lemon and chives."
