Friday night I told Jake I had errands to run, so they couldn't come over after work. And, I did, but the real reason is that Carla was planning a surprise birthday party for Jake at my house on Saturday (that, with Sunday's Father's Day, seemed like a bit much!)
So, ran my few errands, got home and quit for the night (knowing it would be a l-o-n-g weekend ahead.
