Thursday

Thursday at work I had a problem staying awake in the afternoon, probably due to poor sleeping Wednesday night.

When I got home, first thing I did was dig out the humidifier from summer storage. Yuck! All dusty and dirty! Spent a good amount of time cleaning the outside, then ran a cup of vinegar through it to sterilize the inside. Since I had it out, ran some through the coffee maker as well. This used to be Jake's favorite thing to do (he hated the idea of coffee made in a less than pristine pot). Now, the whole house smells like vinegar! Ran three pots of clear water through the coffee pot and filled the humidifier's reservoir with fresh water and cranked it on.

My daughter Melissa called. Seems her mother, Fran, and step-dad, Jim, are coming up for a weekend visit. So, instead of cleaning the house like she was supposed to, she called me. This happens a LOT! She calls when she's supposed to be cutting the grass, vacuuming, etc. I have become some sort of excuse in her subconscious, I guess: "I should be cleaning the house, but its more important to call Dad" kinda thing! Love ya, Babe!

After hanging up with her (okay, lets be honest, we talked so long my phone died) it was after 8:00 PM and I still needed dinner. So, went for easy, comfort food: Two grilled cheese sandwiches and Campbells Tomato Soup in a mug. Watched TV until sleepy and then went to bed.
