I did go into work today. Fever and chills were all gone and other than a sore throat and some minor nose blowing, I feel okay (well, maybe just so-so).
When I made the chicken noodle soup on Sunday, I thawed out some chicken thighs in case the precooked chicken breasts I had were not enough or I wanted to make more. They were and I don't so I had to do something with them. It was a sunny, warm, nice day today, so when I got home from work, I put them in my citrus marinade and went out to get some things done (I have given up the last two weekends to either injury or illness).
So, I touched up all the spots on the porch ceiling and garage surround that I hadn't got to and then caulked the rest of the porch ceiling. NOW, its finally done (looks good, too!) Started up the charcoal in the grill and started a load of laundry of everything I might have touched when I was sick (hand towel, dish towels, etc.)
I had six crimini mushrooms that were too big for Mom's stew, so I brushed them with olive oil to grill as well. Threw them all on the grill for about 15 minutes.
Made up a plate to eat (took a picture for you) and saw I had a call from Mom's house. So, covered them with tin foil and returned Luanne's call. Then, I turned on the trusty TV and ate a delicious dinner.
