Okay, so most of Michigan endured a huge winter storm today. Luckily, it just brushed the Detroit area. So, while other areas of the state were pounded (I checked West Branch - 6 to 10 inches of snow) we had record rainfall Thursday (over one inch) but mostly rain and high winds today. It was snowing and sleeting on my drive home, but that stopped after a bit.
My daughter, Melissa, sent several pictures of the first big storm of the year in Wolverine, Michigan, one of which I posted in "Photos" for you (what did you expect, a picture of my wet patio?)
So, after getting home and doing a bit of this and that, Jyl (my son Jeremy's wife) called to make sure I got home okay (nice - nobody else seemed worried). Port Huron (where they live) got hammered a bit more than me, I take it.
Warmed up the last of the grilled bratwurst, and for a side, made what I like to call the "Tracey Main Meal", Kraft Mac and cheese out of the skinny box.
Watched some live and some taped TV, fell asleep (it has been a l-o-n-g day and this rain is killing my arthritis - was tempted to take some pain meds, but settled for bourbon). Then woke up bright-eyed and bushy-tailed at 12:00 AM. Watched some TV, read a bit, and now entering this into the Blog.
Sleep, why has thou forsaken me?
