Happiness sucks
that's what I say!
You have it for a moment
then its taken away.
It lifts you up,
then kicks you flat.
So, it's just a bad joke
and I'm through with that!
Better to be miserable,
better to be blue,
than to let the tricks of happiness
be played all over you!
(Knowing all this,
and even writing this rhyme,
why do I keep looking
for Happiness all the time?)
