El Nino has left the building...

Jet stream finally came down from Canada. Way down, into the Mid-Atlantic States even. So, predictions are for it to stay below freezing (32 F. or 0 C.) for the next couple of weeks. We picked up about an inch of snow yesterday, but supposed to be just snow flurries today.

I got home early yesterday, so got to work. Did the laundry and installed four magnetic catches in the kitchen. Two in the cabinets I remodeled and two replacements for the old spring-loaded ones that are in all of the other cabinets. These, being 50+ years old, are so worn out, the cabinet doors pop open all the time. So, I need to pick up more of the magnetic ones and replace them all eventually.

Thawed out some tilapia filets and broiled them. I made that horseradish-mayonnaise sauce again (I really like that flavor) and baked some sweet potatoes, too.

Swept the kitchen floor and mopped it, then watched TV until bedtime.

  1. Did you ever get a chance to try that tilapia recipe I sent?

  2. No, not yet. The title scared me! As I have mentioned, other than Greek salads (yum) I am not that big a fan of "Mediterranean" food.

Maybe if I changed the Couscous to wild rice...
