Woke up early on Sunday. Made biscuits and sausage gravy. I learned a neat trick for biscuits: I always used a rolling pin before, but this time I just used my hands to push down the dough into about a 5 inch by 8 inch rectangle. Then I folded that by thirds (like you would a letter before putting it in an envelope). Did it again (flatten then fold) and then cut out the circles. Why? This makes the biscuit rise in layers and its much fluffier.
Shaved, showered and got to work. Its cold here, so I covered the kitchen table with a blanket and used masking tape to hold the corners tight. Then I drilled and screwed and clamped and drilled and screwed and clamped some more until I got the table assembled. Took it downstairs to put the tool-holder shelf on. Set it in place and took some photos for the Blog, but its not really done. I still need to take it in the garage and sand it all down.
But, its after 5:00 PM and I'm tired, my back is killing me and I'm hungry (no lunch). But, I've got a HUGE sawdust mess on the floor and tools everywhere. Put away the tools, swept and mopped the kitchen and cleaned the garage floor.
Finally, I made catfish and hush puppies for dinner. Then I took the rest of the night off.
