Super Saturday!

I did finally fall back asleep Friday night/Saturday morning and woke up at 8:30 AM. I had a mushroom and cheese three-egg omelet for breakfast. Then I spruced up with a shower and shave and left to run my errands. They included:
- Getting the oil changed in the car
- Picking up prescriptions at the CVS pharmacy
- Grocery shopping at Farmer Jacks

BTW, Oil Change place I always go to advertises $16.95 oil change. Mine cost $26 because my car takes one more quart of oil than normal and a special filter.

I would normally hose off the salt from the car, but we are supposed to get snow and freezing rain overnight, so there is no point, really.

Carla had called earlier. She offered to make me dinner at my house (could it get any better? Can't remember the last time somebody cooked me something!) Oh, I know she was just finding a place to drive the new car to, but what the heck? (Just kidding, Carla!)

Got home and put everything away. I made some bacon and cheese deviled eggs for an appetizer. I didn't have any honey-mustard, so I substituted Dijon mustard. It gave it a bite I didn't particularly like, but Jake and Carla seemed okay with it, later.

I tried to take a nap, but couldn't fall asleep. Then I heard the doorbell ring. They brought over a HUGE box (supposed to feed ten people) of Snow Crab legs. We mowed those down with a big baked potato and clarified butter, infused with garlic. Carla made the crab legs and the baked potatoes and Jake made the butter, while I just sat there, fat, dumb and happy. I'm still full this morning.

Then we played an awful game: Trivial Pursuit! I admit it! I suck at this and, while they answered some of the questions, we finally gave up. Next we played Clue (I lost)then finally cards (Kings in the Corner and I won one!)

They left for home, I watched a little TV, but fell asleep early. And, that was Saturday.
