Tuesday's Table Day

I got the phone call from Art Van at 9:00 AM, so I left work to meet them at the house. They brought the table and chairs in and set it all up. I first had the legs one way and the chairs the way the old table was. Then I realized this table was wider than the old one, so I turned it a bit (you can understand what I am saying by looking at the photographs) and got a lot more room between the table and the stove.

Then back to work, and then back home at 5:00 PM. I took the old chairs up in the attic (leaving two in the office). The sixth new chair I put in the office closet and the new table's leaf went under the couch.

Then back to the duck. Drill the hole in the body for the axle, drilled the offset holes in the wheels, cut the axles, then glued and assembled everything. I drilled a tiny hole in the wheel and put in a brad so the wheel couldn't run on the axle (I didn't trust just the glue), Then I put on the first coat of boiled linseed oil.

Warmed up the leftover chicken for dinner (trying to clean out the fridge before leaving Thursday). Watched TV (stopping occasionally and applying more coats of linseed oil throughout the evening) and went to be at midnight.
