Tuesday

I had also taken Tuesday off as I thought I would need one day of rest. I was right! Woke up sore. Worst areas are my lower back and right shoulder. But, I am moving better than yesterday, so that's a plus.

Spent the morning running errands, buying some groceries (I let things like milk and eggs run out so nothing would spoil while I was gone). Met my friend B___ for lunch. Then, with another record high temperature day (80 degrees F.), I went out in the back yard to address my patio. I did have a deadline because it was supposed to rain around 5:00 PM.

I had noticed in the morning it was looking pretty shabby from the winter. Old seed husks from the birds, peanut shells from the squirrels and trash was everywhere. And, when I hung a suet feeder next to the kitchen window, it was fun to watch the birds all winter, but now there is bird crap all down the side of the house.

So, I first blew off the patio, and then I took apart the tarp and put back the furniture. Then I dug out the hoses, filled a bucket with hot water and detergent and grabbed a brush. I washed all the patio furniture and the house wall, then rinsed everything down. I uncovered the reflecting pool and filled it, adding a cup of bleach to kill the algae. Next, I brought out the young monk statue and the chiminea. Just then it started to rain...

So, I was bad for dinner and made coney dogs (I just wanted them). I started watching TV but fell asleep almost immediately and slept (with the TV on) until the alarm went off.
