Another wet Wednesday

(It's good that it happens on Wednesday as the alliteration works well, don't you think?)

Yes, we had downpours of rain, thunderstorms, sprinkles, etc., all day long into the night. I checked the rain gauge this morning and found I got just over an inch of rain at my house all told.

I changed clothes when I got home, went out to the garage and turned on the radio and then opened the garage door. It reminded me of my old neighbor, Mr. Dupee, from Palms Road. His garage door faced East (towards my house) and when it rained in the summertime, both he and his wife would go out to the garage, open the door and sit on lawn chairs, watching the rain.

But, I don't have time to sit and watch the rain. I have a trailer to wire! So, ran the wires through the frame to their intended locations. Next step in the wonderful instruction booklet? Put four carriage bolts into square holes to strengthen the casters (the ones it rolls on when its folded up). Why am I doing that now? Why now way back when I was bolting the caster brackets on? Because, now, the holes are off! Used a hammer on three of the bolts to force them through (worrying about messing up the threads while doing it), but got the nuts on and, with great difficulty, tightened them up. Did I mention they are all in hard to get-to places?

The last one was more of a problem as the holes lined up, but they were too far apart. So, I got a big "C" clamp and tightened them closer, then bolted them together. Now, back to wiring. Got both stoplights wired and one sidelight. Noticed the wire harness was coming apart in places, so took a roll of electrical tape and started wrapping it. Got the one side done and checked the clock. It was 8:15 PM, so I quit for the night.

I had thawed out some pulled pork I made back in March, so I heated that up and had two sandwiches on 12-grain bread with dill pickles.

Watched one taped TV show and was asleep by 10:00 PM
