I bought some interesting footwear at lunch today. They are called Crocs and are made in Canada. I got the "beach" kind. But they had ones that had soles more like boots (with big lugs) and a Velcro strap. I assume those were for gardening. BTW, Paul James, the host of "Gardening by the Yard" also wears Crocs. Anyway, I wore them after work and noticed my legs didn't hurt as much, even though I was working in the garage on the cement floor.
I got home and left the car in the driveway, to give me more room in the garage. First thing was to get that one side marker light working. I took off the electrical tape and the connector and found (as I suspected) the blade had not pierced the wire covering. So, I cut through it and put on another connector, taped it all up again and tested it. Bingo! I have a light!
I took a break to water the new roses and the two tomato plants. Took some pictures while I was at it.
Next I installed the bed on the rear section. I put it in place, secured it with three bar clamps, and then crawled under it with a magic marker. I marked all the holes, took off the bar clamps, flipped it over and drilled the holes out. Put it back in place and used a hammer to tap in the carriage bolts. Then I crawled back under it and using lock washers and nuts, secured the wood to the metal frame.
I checked the time as I was hungry and it was 8:10 PM. So, I lit some charcoal in the grill, cleaned up my work area, and then grilled a small steak for tonight's dinner and six bratwurst for Tuesday's dinner. I ate the steak with two ears of leftover corn (from Saturday's non-dinner). I started watching TV, but fell asleep after the first show.
