So much for Monday

Alert readers may have noticed that one of the many things that did not happen last weekend was my grocery shopping. So, I stopped on the way home at Meijer's to pick up the stuff I had on my list. This made my arrival time at home much later than normal, as I got home at 6:15 PM. I changed clothes and got back to work on the trailer.

I picked up some bolts, washers, lock washers and nuts at lunch, so I can put on the side marker lights. I drilled out the holes in both the lights and the trailer rail. I installed the one with no problem, but those stupid "self-tapping screws" they gave me had broken out a piece of the one light. I tried using a larger washer, but that didn't work. There was still a thick plastic piece on the edge of the now-enlarged hole, so I opened a can of mushrooms and, with some tin snips, used the top to make a folded-over tab, then drilled it out, painted it black and installed it.

Put on the two tail lights and the license plate holder. I had to remove and re-install one of the cross-members (I had it on upside down, I belatedly noticed). Checked the time and it was 8:05 PM, so I decided enough was enough.

Warmed up the bean soup I'd thawed out over the weekend. Watched one TV show, but never made it to the end before falling asleep.
