The weather continued to be hot here. Today's high was 86 degrees F. (30 C.) so I turned on the air conditioner when I finally got home at 6:00 PM (I had to stop at the Credit Union to get some cash for this weekend).

Cleared off a space to work in the kitchen and cut the drywall into 2 3/4 inch wide strips. Then fit it into space, each one taking three strips, but I could never use the full 2 foot length. I was right! By using two half inch pieces, I just about matched the plaster and lathe. Next comes the spackling compound, but I noticed it was getting late, so stopped to go out and water the grass seed.

Got that done and heated up some chili I'd made and frozen back in January. That, plus two bratwurst, was dinner. Tried to watch some TV, but fell asleep almost immediately.
