As you may have noticed in the "Today in History" box, this is the 63rd anniversary of D-Day. The Allied invasion of France marked a turning point in WWII and we should all take a moment to remember those men who braved the massive German defenses on those beaches (if you ever watched "Saving Private Ryan" you got a sense of what it was like).
I am a little disappointed at the lack of ceremonies today. When I was a lad, it was a much bigger deal...
