TGIF - now I can get some work done!

I stopped at Home Depot again at lunchtime and bought some rose fertilizer, some sulfur to make the soil more acidic around the rhododendrons and some spray gadget that fertilizes while you are watering. I need to pay more attention to my gardens!

When I got home, I changed clothes, threw a load of clothes in the wash machine and started putting up molding. I used the molding from the linen closet for the office door, but this time I used the belt sander to get off the excess material to allow for the wall curving (I learned my lesson).

Got all the door molding (except for the last piece I need to buy tomorrow) done (no additional baseboard or shoe molding yet), hung up and folded the laundry, then stopped a little after 8:00 PM to go outside.

First I added some mulch then put the correct amount of sulfur around the base of each plant. Next I watered each plant with two gallons of water. Since I was right there, I gave each tomato plant two gallons, too.

Now, onto the roses! First I pruned back the original one. Then I mixed up (yep, you guessed it!) two gallons of Miracle Grow Rose fertilizer. BTW, one of the new ones had a pink bloom on it (I'll take a picture when it's not so dark) and the other has a big bud on it.

After I put everything away and disconnected the hose, I came inside and put a Marie Callender's turkey pot pie in the microwave. 9:30 PM, pot pie is done and I'm calling it quits.
