Wednesday and wanting rain...

Got up before the alarm. I really didn't sleep well last night. Up every hour or so. Too much goofing off, I guess.

Somewhere along the way, it dawned on me I had not answered my Mother's question when she asked me for a good recipe for old-fashioned meat loaf. If you remember, I did go and make her the bacon wrapped meatloaf and, although she seemed to really like it, I don't think that's what she meant. So, since I love meatloaf, I am now on a personal quest.

When I got home, I made the first test meatloaf (I'm not going to publish the recipes unless asked until I decide the winner) and popped it in the oven along with three Idaho potatoes at 6:00 PM. Now, back to work!

Stopped at 7:30 PM when dinner was done. I got the baseboard and shoe molding to the bathroom door, the bathroom door molding, the baseboard and shoe molding to the office and the left side of the office door done.

Dinner was good, the meatloaf, a baked potato with sour cream and steamed frozen sweet corn. The meatloaf had a very good flavor, but I would have preferred it to be a little firmer. Ah well, the search goes on...

After dinner, I went out to water, and water and water. Got back in the house at 9:53 PM. Everything is watered except the grass and to be honest, I think I am going to have to give up on it. I've got big brown spots everywhere and, unless it rains, and rains a LOT soon, I have real lawn problems.

Watched TV, but got bored with it. Switched to reading until I fell asleep.
