Monday, Monday

It's been so long since I was at work I forgot to set the alarm, so I woke up at 6:30 instead of 5:45 AM. Frantic moments as I tried, but failed, to get to work at 7:00 AM (it was more like 7:45).

I decided since today was sooo hot (there was a heat advisory, actually - high today will be 94 degrees F and sticky-humid) that tonight I would do nothing! Yes, nothing!!! Dammit! I deserve a break!

However, that changed when I got home and saw the air compressor in the kitchen, the hose snaked through the living room and I realized I had two more pieces of baseboard molding and three pieces of shoe molding and the whole damn thing would be done. So, in spite of myself, I braved the super-heated garage, cut the boards, and, by six o'clock, it really was done.

I still have to deal with fixing the attic stairs, installing the molding around the stairs and painting them both, touch-ups on the walls, ceiling and the cabinets, installing the new kitchen faucet (somehow), figuring out the mystery of the glass door knobs, cutting and burning all the old molding and putting in the new patio door. But, my original project concept itself is done. And, I am pleased.

Dinner was leftover burgers and sweet corn. I watched TV until about 9:30 PM, then went to sleep.
