Thursday, and the living is easy...

Tonight I was both a prep chef and a grill master. When I got home, I started some redskin potatoes boiling, and then prepared the rest of the ingredients for potato salad. I chopped a Vidalia onion, three celery stalks, grated two carrots and sliced five radishes. Then I peeled and sliced 6 hard boiled eggs. When the potatoes were done, I turned everything over to Carla to make the dressing.

I grilled up twelve bratwurst and eight hamburgers. The brats were for dinner and the rest will be consumed over the weekend. Everything was excellent!

The rest of the evening I spent watching TV. I was woken up during the night by the thunder from some wicked thunderstorms that moved through the area.

  1. Man, I finally have GOT to comment! What happened to you, dude? For three months I been reading about your kitchen work and you busting your butt and eating at 10 pm and so on. Now a week of just nothing but what you eat and then you watch TV all night?

    I'm disappointed in you, Captain!!!

    Shame on you!!!

  2. Thank you for your comment (I think). But, two things in my defense:

    1. I am older now (see "About Me")and can't work like I used to. That kitchen thing wore me out!

    2. I currently have house guests, so doing projects like I do (tools left where used, extension cords left out to trip over, sawdust everywhere) would not be cool.

I do plan on resuming my work after they move out next weekend. I still have a lot of touch up and the new back door to put in. So, stay tuned...

  4. Thanks for the comment. Good explanation! But, "from the turnpike during an empty-and-fill." Gross!
