I stand corrected! When I left for work there was, in fact, ice everywhere. Jake later explained it as there was no freezing "rain" per se, it was more like a fog. It wasn't a problem on my drive or street, as both are gravel and the ice just wasn't that thick. However, Jake said his paved drive and street were like ice rinks. The main roads were salted at 7:00 AM, so there wasn't much of a problem driving to work.
The ride home was likewise uneventful. Once there, I changed clothes and decided to relax tonight (my right knee is still killing me).
For dinner, I had the last bowl of the split pea soup I made for my Mom, and then reheated another pastie. I watched some TV (Bing Crosby's "White Christmas") and then read until bedtime.
I tried to find a picture of these pasties you keep talking about and you're one sick man! You should be ashamed!
