Re: The Captain Rants...

As often happens in life, the Captain thought better about it in the morning and deleted those two posts. Thanks for your thoughtful comments, but they did not change my postion. However, Piece Offerings is not the appropriate forum for this discussion.

  1. Whatever your “rants” were, P.J., I can only guess that they included a great deal of content that I would not agree with you about (I can only guess, because you took the comments down before I finished reading them). Be that as it may, I still want to know what you wrote and your line of thinking behind it. You know my email I.D. Bring it on.

  2. Yeah, that is right. If you want to be an ass, go do it on your own blog!

    Err, wait, um ...

You mean you actually had a position? I thought it was just another attempt to drum up reader participation!

  4. "... attempt to drum up reader participation!"

He'll have to do better than that. The other foodie blog on my roll is Pioneer Woman. She gets hundreds of responses per post.

Come on, man, work that blog.

  5. I'm not real interested in seeing him "work that blog", especially considering his fondness for pasties.

I better start working on a content rating system.

  6. "Work that Blog?" I try and title my photos as provocatively as possible already for that very reason.

    Hmmm...

Hey, I know! I'll be 59 in 12 days, Maybe a nice photo of me in my birthday suit?

  8. I got your email, P.J., and, rest assured, I’ll be patient.

  9. Isn't that a bit like whispering in public?

  10. Probably, but what I was originally going to post was much longer. Somewhere between dealing with your disappointed niece (broken friend date) and a phone call with your brother (he’s apparently living at work tonight), though, I just decided to leave it at one sentence.

  11. @Jake. Come on, man, not ten posts ago you were giving the Captain grief about his low participation. Don't discourage Jyl for at least posting *something*.

@Jyl. Living at work? I prefer to think of it as a wild and crazy Friday night ... with servers ... in a freezing data center. That's me, living on the edge.
