Monday's Miscellaneous

So, Monday night was catching up on miscellaneous To Do items that were missed over the weekend. I replaced the three AA batteries in the office smoke detector (it started beeping Sunday night). I filled up the windshield washer fluid in the car. And, finally, the big one: I dusted, vacuumed and cleaned the living room and washed all the glass table tops with Windex.

Then, with fear and trembling, I got out my tax information and did a preliminary tax filing on my tax software. But, its un-freakin'-believable! This is the first time in over 12 years that the piddley amount I owe the Feds is offset by the matching amount I will get back from the State! I kiss my W2's and get on to making dinner.

As long term readers know, since Tuesday is garbage pickup day, the fridge gets cleaned out Monday night. So tonight's dinner will be the leftover lemon-garlic filets, the last of the turnip mashed potatoes and the last of the wild rice. While that heated up in the microwave, I continued the "night before garbage day" routine. Any other leftovers (other than this weekend's pulled pork and chili) got pitched and that kitchen bag joined its brothers in the staging area (the garage, lol). Then I switched the old kitty litter for a new bag, and the old stuff went out in the garage as well.

I ate watching TV, but started nodding off around 10:00 PM, so I gave it up and went to sleep.
