Well, as you may have guessed from the title of this post, when I left for work there wasn't even an inch of snow (despite the forecaster's dire predictions). And, I listened to the traffic reports and, from the lack of interest regarding Port Huron, it must not amounted to much up there, either. Sorry if I scared you guys!
It was, however, still cold as hell (oh, wait a minute, hell is supposed to be hot, isn't it). Well, anyway, I spent my time going into work and going back home listening to the WCSX radio-a-thon for the Children's Leukemia foundation.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch... I had a free mini-can of Fancy Feast cat food that came in the Purina bag, so I split it in half, put it on two paper plates and served Caley and Scruffy. Scruffy ate all of his , but Caley left half on the plate. I think Scruffy will finish her portion...
I started the Wednesday night laundry load (obviously a day late) and then made a call to Luanne. She had undergone orthoscopic surgery on her knee today and I wanted to see how she was doing.
She said she wasn't in a lot of pain, yet. Although, she admitted it could be the pain medication hadn't worn off. They had cleaned up her meniscus and reattached a torn ligament. She had new aluminum crutches and a walker and thought she was gonna be okay. I wished her well, hung up and got started on the bathroom closet.
It wasn't as bad as I'd thought. The waste paper basket was about half full with old and/or useless stuff when I finished. I cleaned each shelf with Formula 409 anti-bacterial cleaner and restocked it. Since I found I had the time, I moved on to the sink cabinet drawers and cleaned them out, too.
I hung up the clothes out of the dryer and went back to my book and the radio-thon. It got over at 9:00 PM and I went get to dinner then. I heated the last of the roast beef hash in the microwave and fried two eggs over easy. I put the eggs on top the hash (I love it when the yolk runs into the hash) and sat down to eat.
After I cleaned up the kitchen I thought about watching TV, but decided to stick to my book. I went to sleep at 10:30 or so.
I agree that it is freezing outside. This Alabama girl is sick of this cold Michigan weather. You would think I would be use to it by now but I'm no
ReplyDeleteWell, it could be worse! Just look at the temperatures Amy keeps mentioning in Minnesota!
