It was even hotter and more humid today than yesterday. It reminded me of when I was a kid back on the farm on 24 Mile Road. On hot days like this, the cows would only give evaporated milk and we used to have to feed the chickens crushed ice so they wouldn't lay hard boiled eggs!
At lunchtime, I picked up two more bottles of the Windex Outdoor Window and Surface cleaner. I also got a new halogen bulb for the desk lamp in the office. I doubt I will have the time to wash the house tonight as, it's Thursday, and that means only one thing: cutting the lawn!!!
Once inside, I went through my arriving home process and, after changing clothes, headed out to cut the grass (92 degrees F. and the humidity makes the sweat break out when you just step outside). But, I add the gas and check the oil and then begin.
I finished up without incident just before 8:00 PM. I want, no, I need something besides tuna salad for dinner. So, I sliced some Hillshire Farms Smoked Sausage thin and on the bias. I fried that along with a sliced yellow onion in just a little vegetable oil. For the side I made a box of Mac and cheese.
I watched two taped shows, then gave it up and went to bed just after 10:00 PM.
Did you walk to school uphill both ways with 4 foot of snow too?
