Tuesday's Trials

I got home after another long day at work (this is why I hate vacations!) After the usual commotion, I changed clothes and went out back. First, I used my blower to clean off the debris on my patio, but the real goal here is to install the storm door I removed from my patio door to the door on Jake's patio.

So, I used my nail-set to sink in the holes and then used the drill motor and a bit, along with the 100-foot extension cord to drive home the screws. Okay, so it's not opening free and easy, but you have to remember, Jake's patio door is virtually unusable. Several years ago, when we were bothered by the normal Redford spring ants, Jake decided they were coming in under that door. So, he bought some spray foam and used it to seal off their entrance. Whether or not he was successful in stopping the little ants is still debatable, but what he was successful in is that the door can no longer be opened by any human force!

Actually, I am sure there is a quick fix (maybe not "quick") but nobody ever used that door, anyway, and the foam was cheaper than installing a deadbolt.

So, the storm door is installed and it's after 8:00 PM. I still need to paint the frames of the glass and screen "almond" but I am tired and hungry and decided it could wait a day or two. I posted pictures in case you are interested.

So, I heated up two burgers for my dinner. I topped them with American cheese and placed them on Kaiser Buns with mustard and mayonnaise. I ate them watching TV with two pickles and some chips. I gave it up at 10:00 PM and went to sleep.
