Two quotes about Kwame I found interesting

As you know, our beleaguered mayor of Detroit is facing some difficult times. How could you NOT know, since the PGA is going on this week and the press corp for the world is all in Detroit and now covering this story? But there were two comments I heard on the TV I thought were interesting. Note: I am recreating these from memory, so they might not be accurate word-for-word, but you'll get the idea.

A famous Detroit black radio talk show hostess said: "I believe Kwame is one of the most creative people I know. But, sometimes creativity takes you places that your conscience and common sense cannot follow."

- Boy, have I been there!

A Detroit City Council woman (a rabid Kwame supporter) said: "I don't understand why the judge put him in jail for going to Windsor. It's right across the street! It's not like he left the country or something!"

- Uh, this is why we have such problems in Detroit! The Detroit river is NOT a street and last time I checked, Windsor is still in Canada. Canada IS another country, dear lady!
