I forgot to mention that, while I was cutting the grass, I was also doing the Wednesday load of laundry. Because I wanted to get out and cut grass, I didn't check all the pockets and, yep, you guessed it: I washed a black ink pen along with my shirts and pants. Most were dark and so are okay and the one light shirt just has a tiny spot in the back, so it's okay, too. But, my tan slacks have a lot of spots on both pant legs. Unfortunately, I didn't catch this until I was hanging them up AFTER everything went in the dryer.
Anybody got an idea if and how I can get these ink spots out (either home remedy or store-bought)?
Store-bought remedy
ReplyDeleteUm... buy new pants. There. That was easy.
Bonus health tip: if it hurts, stop doing it.
My mother used to put down a big towel, then the pants or shirt and spray the stains with Aqua-Net (and aerosol hair spray). Sh would let it set for a while, then scrub it with an old toothbrush. She would rewash the item and the stain would be gone.
ReplyDelete@ Anon #1: Gee, thanks for the tip, but since I just bought these pants, I was hoping to avoid that one.
ReplyDeleteRegarding your bonus health tip: What if it hurts so good?
@ Anon #2: Thanks, Hair spray isn't anything I have in my house, but if worst comes to worst (I don't get any other tips and the one thing I have in the house for stains doesn't work) I'll go buy some and try it
