Sidebar: Did you ever notice how short the Monday post always seems to be?

Anyway, Monday! It was cloudy and a little damp all day but no more real rain. Ike had gone in search of Tina (Okay, I sorta stole that from a sign I saw they had down in Texas, but I thought it was cute).

I got home late after running an errand. I had picked up a big bag of top soil to fill in (once again) the depression that forms every year over the place I had that big pine tree cut down in front. So, I dragged it over and dumped it in. Then I smoothed it with a rake and let it settle overnight. I took an old coffee can and got some of the remaining fertilizer and then hand-sowed it over the front ditch (where I could not get to with the riding tractor.

Inside, I changed clothes, did a few minor things and made a couple of calls. I warmed up a plate of sausage, sauerkraut and potatoes for dinner. I watched TV for a bit but I was tired, so I went to bed at 9:30 PM.
