Wednesday's Work

I got home Wednesday night and got back to it! First I took care of a bunch of miscellaneous little daily chores and then I called my granddaughter, Riese, to get the details on this year's fundraiser. Sounded worthwhile, plus I should end up with some sort of Field Guide for Michigan Butterflies. Good deal!

I watered all the container gardens and then got back to work in the kitchen. I caulked between the new window sill and the window. Next I used the longer screws I had bought to re-install the switches and electrical plugs. This one was not so easy, because where the screws had to get screwed into is now buried 3/4 of an inch deep, behind the tile and the backer board. The darkness inside each electrical box and these damn bifocals didn't help either! But, I finally got them all put back.

Speaking of "back," I put the refrigerator back in its place (for the first time in almost two weeks!) I got some warm water and washed all the tiles and grout for the last time before sealing them (hopefully, tomorrow).

I checked the time and it was 8:10 PM, so I stopped for the night. I wanted a quick, fast comfort food for dinner; something simple. So I made an old favorite of mine and my Mother's: Tuna and peas, served on top of wide egg noodles. I watched a little TV, but went to sleep before 10:00 PM after opening the bedroom window.

I got up around 1:00 AM to use the bathroom (shivering) and checked the thermostat. It was 58 degrees F. in the house! So, I shut the window and went back to sleep.
