Wednesday

I went to Lowe's at lunch on Wednesday and picked up another piece of window trim. I also got a round file I needed.

It started to rain around 4:30 PM. There was thunder and lightning on my way home, but the rain never got as heavy as I would have liked.

I had changed clothes and was just starting to work when my son Jeremy called. So, we talked a long while about work and politics (mostly politics).

Once I had hung up, I got to work. I may regret this but, in the one area where the grout lines did not match up, I pried out 12 tiles and chiseled out the mortar. It's getting too dark to use the tile saw tonight, but I'll cut and reinstall them tomorrow.

I cut the last piece of window trim and then stained all the pieces. I left them all to dry in the garage and came back inside. I warmed up two hamburgers and ate them watching TV. Before I went to bed, I went out to the patio and checked the rain gauge. Again, I got less than 1/8 inch of rain.
