I got up at 7:00 AM on Sunday. I reheated yesterday's coffee and had a cup. I posted the Blog after finishing it and then took my shower. Then I stripped the bed and started the wash machine (I didn't have time yesterday to do that, you see).
I made soft-boiled eggs for breakfast. When I cleaned up the dishes, I found I had enough in the dishwasher for a full load, so I fired that bad boy up, too.
I gave Luanne a call to get her and Sadie's Christmas itinerary. She said they would be here on the 27th and stay until Riese's birthday celebration. She also said she told me this before! (Damn Mad Cow disease!)
I got the bedding out of the dryer and made my bed. I noticed that it has started raining, so putting up the trim on the storm door is out. I guess I've run out of excuses, LOL! So, at 10:30 AM, I began tiling.
At 11:45 AM, the South wall was done. At 1:15 PM, the North wall was done. At 2:40 PM, the South side of the door opening was done. This is necessarily first, as the rest of the tile sizes on the East wall depends on it.
At that point, I was done! I quit! I have mortar in my hair, all over my clothes and even in my mouth (a result of putting chewing tobacco in my mouth before washing my hands). So, I shed my tile clothes and stuck them, the assorted towels I been using and even my beloved (now mortar encrusted) Crocs into the washer. I tried to take some pictures, but as I said before, the space is too tight to get a full photo of what I have been doing.
Then, I put myself into the shower (again). I got quite a few little cuts from the sharp, cut tile edges and so the shower water was pink at first as it hit the drain.
When I got out of the shower and dried off, I made up a plate for my lunch of wheat crackers and some 4-year old cheddar I bought yesterday at Westborn. I went in to the bedroom, watched some taped cooking shows and then took a nap.
When I awoke, I started to get things ready for another work week. At 7:00 PM, I put dinner on. I took four medium redskin potatoes, cubed them and put them in the pot. Then I opened a bag of sauerkraut and put that in. Finally, I cut a ring of Polish Kielbasa into one inch slices. They went on top. A splash of chicken stock, the lid went on and I brought it to a boil, and then simmered it. When the potatoes were soft, I dished up a plate.
I was disappointed to see my first Sunday night show was preempted and my second one was a rerun. So, I searched the channels and decided to watch an old favorite movie, Jeremiah Johnson. When it got over at 10:30 PM, I went to bed, content with the day.
