Tuesday's tile efforts

  1. Looking good. How are you handling the ceiling?

  2. Oh, the ceiling was always just painted drywall (probably greenboard). I am thinking about changing the light, though. I'd like to swap the current fixture for a combination light and fan. What I don't know is if there's enough room for me to get to it in the attic.

  3. How are you going to keep moisture from getting behind the tile?

  4. Well, the grout has anti-moisture stuff in it, plus it will be covered with grout sealer. However, the top of the tile (at the ceiling) and the bottom of the tile (where it curves into the existing tile in the shower pan) and all four corners will get 100% latex caulk that's the same color as the grout. According to the experts, that should do it.
