So, it's been three days now since I hung up the new bird feeder and filled it with seed (it takes four pounds, BTW, about double of the terra cotta feeder).
Now, by this time a month ago (maybe even after one day), the feeder would have been upended and the seeds all spilled.
I have seen various birds (everything but pigeons and mourning doves) as well as the smaller black and brown squirrels feeding off it. I have NOT seen the big fat gray squirrels on it, though (the bane of the old feeder).
And, as I look out at it, the seed level has gone down about an inch!
