Tuesday's Tale

I had errands to run at lunch on Tuesday. I went to Westborn for my week's afternoon apples and stopped at Murray's for some lawn mower oil.

When I got home at lunchtime, I put the drain plug back in and added one quart of oil. I took out the air cleaner and blew it off (I will have to replace it. Last year was a dusty mowing time.)

So, when I got home at 5:00 PM, I changed my shoes and went out to cut the grass. I checked the oil and added a bit more to get to "Full" on the dipstick. I cut the front yard first (believe it or not, it already needed it!) and then headed out back. It was easier to cut the whole thing again rather than just get the areas that were too wet the last time.

My tractor tires were still wet in spots, but the standing water was gone, so I got it all done this time. Well, except for the trimming in front. But, I will get that done on Wednesday.

I was back inside before 7:00 PM. I changed clothes and then heated up dinner: two catfish filets and more wild rice.

I watched a little TV, but turned in early again.
