Wednesday, and still in the heat wave

Wednesday was hotter still (92 degrees F.) Now, this is probably not "hot" in Virginia or North Carolina, but it's excessive in mid-June in Michigan. It was also our first "Ozone Action Day" here in Redford.

I made the mistake of going to Lowe's at lunch and can attest to that Ozone Action Day. I took the freeway to Newburgh Road and, down in the "ditch" (the freeway is below the surface streets), my car's AC blew in the smell of diesel fuel from the trucks.

I did get the items I needed, but since I was outside in the garden section, I also ended up quite hot and sweaty! I took the stuff home, dropped it off and headed back to work.

After work, I did miscellaneous inside stuff and finally got outside. I gassed up the push mower, checked the oil and fired it up. Then I cut the front lawn.

When I finished, I went back inside for a glass of water. It was already 7:30 PM, so I decided the back lawn would have to wait. I closed everything up and made some dinner.

I ate more of the grilled smoked sausage (with Dijon mustard) and two more ears of sweet corn. I started the mid-week laundry and went in to watch some TV.

I fell asleep watching TV and slept through the night.
