I Need a Houskeeper!

Tuesday was a dreary day. It was windy, chilly, cloudy and sprinkled off and on. Since it never got more than 68 degrees, when I got home after work, I opened the windows to air out the house (keeping a weather-eye out for rain).

I had stopped to pick up a prescription at CVS, so when I got home and checked my voice-mail, I found I had just missed a call from my doctor. She wanted to discuss the results of the MRI. I tried calling her back, but she had already left. She's off on Wednesday, so I'll have to wait until Thursday for the news (I hope its good!)

I changed clothes and immediately got a blanket out of the linen closet. I spread it over the kitchen table and began to take everything off the counter top and walls to the left of the kitchen sink.

Once that was accomplished, I began to wash down the cabinets, counter top, stove and the walls. Other than spot cleaning, this hasn't been done in a while.

I was smart to just take half of the counter for tonight, for I finished that up just before 7:30 PM. My right shoulder hurt more than usual and my knees from getting up and down on the stepping stool to reach the high places. So, I quit for the night.

Not wanting to mess up the stove, I just micro-waved a Marie Callender's chicken pot pie. I ate that watching some TV. After a while, I switched to reading a magazine that came in today's mail before going to sleep.

  1. So, what's a good news about a sore arm?
