Back to Work!

I woke up with the alarm on Thursday. Big day for me! It's my first day back to work and also my therapy evaluation.

Getting back to work was fun for a while, saying "Hi!" to all the people I haven't seen for six weeks or so.

It was less fun when I learned that, as of October 12, my hours will be cut in half and, as a part-time employee, I will no longer be eligible for benefits!

I am trying to be positive about this (in these troubled times in Michigan, having a part-time job is far better that having NO job), but this will be problematic. Obviously, my goal here is to stay afloat until the economy rebounds enough so they can bring me back on full-time.

I did well in my therapy evaluation and I start next week, going twice a week to rehab. I also have a sheet of exercises I need to do daily at home.

I got home about 3:30 PM from therapy and, since it was still sunny out (it's supposed to rain tonight, tomorrow and Saturday), I tried to get as much outdoor work done as I could.

I checked my dwindling stash of leftovers for tonight's dinner. The potato salad was now too watery to save (into the trash you go!) but there was still a bowl of Jake's chili left, so that's what I had.

I had trouble falling asleep and then staying asleep (too many things to think about) so I'll be dragging it on Friday...
