I woke up, got ready and went to work on Wednesday. I left for home at 11:00 AM, but stopped at Kroger's first. I spent $24.37, all on items I'm currently out of.
Once I was home, I treated the cats. Then I started on the main focus of today: cleaning up from last night's dinner. Once I had everything that would or should go into the dishwasher loaded, I started it up. Then I tackled my biggest problem, the broiler pan!
With a fresh Brillo pad, hot water and a whole lot of elbow grease, I finally got it free of all the baked-on crud. Then I washed up the aluminum mixing bowl, the toaster oven tray and the Wustof Santoku knife.
Since I was waiting for the sunshine to dry up some of the leaves, I thought it was probably a good time eat lunch and then take a nap. So, I did.
I got back up around 4:00 PM, grabbed the leaf rake and went out front. I raked all the new-fallen leaves out of the front garden. Then, I headed out back. I raked off the patio and the surrounding gardens. I moved along the rear of the house until I got to Jake's patio. Then I raked it all off.
The leaves were still wet, BTW. We had 1/4 inch of rain overnight, according to the gauge. But tomorrow's supposed to be sunny and 60 degrees F., so I am hoping to mulch the leaves on Thursday afternoon.
I put away the leaf rake, grabbed the mail and went in for the night. I had a meatloaf patty for my lunch, so I wasn't really all that hungry. But, about 8:00 PM, I thought I should eat a little something. So, I made a salad with iceberg lettuce and yellow onions (the leaf lettuce I'd been hoarding had gone bad) and some ranch dressing.
I watched TV until 11:00 PM and then went to bed.
