A Weird, Wacky, Freaky Friday!

It had already rained when I got up on Friday morning. Fortunately, it was not raining as I drove into work (rain can really mess up my half-mile commute, lol!)

Work was a mess. It's hard to stay on top of your projects when you are off for a day and a half. While I was gone, the folks at Building 70 got a hot job, so they can't move today and need to stay there until Tuesday of next week. Well, I shut off their phone lines this morning, but the data line (a T1) wasn't scheduled to be turned off until Tuesday. So, they lucked out (I guess).

I must admit I was lucky, rain-wise. Although it rained off and on throughout the day, it wasn't raining at lunch time or when I went home at 5:00 PM.

At home and after the usual rituals, I changed clothes and started a load of wash. I heard the doorbell ring, so I went upstairs (thinking it was my neighbor Tammy with some of my mail that was put in their mailbox).

But, when I opened the door, there was an incredibly short, incredibly round, blond-haired woman in her mid twenties. She had a very bad speech impediment, but I thought she said she needed fifty cents! There was an awkward moment before I realized I was gaping at her and then I said, "Pardon me?"

She said, "I need fifty cents!"

I said, "I can give you a dollar. Would that be okay?" She nodded her head, so I gave her a dollar and watched her trudge up the road... Weird...

I warmed up the last of the leftover pasta for dinner, but decided against baking the other wheel of Camembert cheese. Too messy and I don't need the calories or cholesterol.

I talked with my friend B___ for a while as we caught each other up on how things were going.

Nothing too exciting was on TV, so I read in bed until I got sleepy.
