The History Channel

I have been watching the History Channel. They have a bunch of color movies of World War II that were recently discovered. The scenes of combat were thrilling, but I've seen a lot of movies. But the one thing (so far) that really moved me was an army nurse, June Wandrey, in 1943 at Tunisia. She said, "They brought in an 18-year old kid and he asked me, "How am I doing?' I kissed his forehead and said, 'You're doing just fine, soldier." He said 'I was just checking' and then he died. We all cried in private, but not in front of the boys. Never in front of the boys!"
