A Clean Sweep

I awoke Sunday morning around 6:00 AM. I posted the Blog Entry and made some coffee. Since I had such a nice time Saturday morning, I decided to repeat the experience. So, I grabbed a blanket and lay on the couch, drinking coffee and listening to "Sunday Morning, Over Easy." But, this time I got even more comfortable by turning on the fireplace. I stayed there, watching the sky lighten until the sun finally rose.

Then it was time to go to work. I took my shower and started cleaning the house. I worked steadily at it, stopping around noon for some food (crackers and cheese) that I ate watching a cooking show.

I had all the floors washed, the sinks and toilets cleaned, the wood floors swept, carpet vacuumed, etc. The only thing left to do was to dry mop the wood floors (sweeping doesn't really get rid of cat hair). But, my daughter Melissa called (it was about 3:30 PM).

This time we mostly talked about office Christmas parties and the problems working in a very small office that still has all of the big corporation office politics going on.

I just set the phone down when it rang again. It was a friend and we talked for a considerably shorter time! When we hung up; I checked the time to see if I could still make my planned dinner. Nope! So, I sauted some fine diced onions and then added a can of roast beef hash.

I ate that watching my Sunday night shows and went to bed at 11:00 PM.
