Rainy Days and Mondays...

The weatherman kept talking about fog Monday morning, but I had none of that on my way into work. At lunchtime, though, it was here and more like a fine drizzle than traditional fog. I had some errands to run (Kroger's and CVS) and by the time I was home I was damp, miserable and my right leg was throbbing. I think I would have really rather had snow that this! I made myself a turkey sandwich for lunch.

After work, I got home and got busy. Well, I planned on getting busy, but first I took a call from my daughter Melissa. Then, I got busy...

I cut off one whole turkey breast, wrapped it in tinfoil and stuck it in a Hefty freezer bag. That went into the freezer. I cut off the rest of the other breast and stuck it in the fridge for more turkey sandwiches. I considered making some stock with the remaining carcass, but then decided it would make a great Christmas present for the possum. So, I went out into the mist and left it just off the patio (Enjoy, little brother!)

I warmed up the sausage, sauerkraut and potatoes for dinner while I loaded up the dishwasher. I still had time, so I switched out the cat litter for tomorrow's garbage day.

I still had the roasting pan and rack to wash, but it was getting late, so I ate dinner instead. I watched TV until 10:00 PM and then went to bed.
