Finally Friday

It's supposed to be another (if the last for a while) great day today, sunny and a high of 69 degrees F. here! But, since its Michigan, it all goes to shit for the weekend (Saturday: high 43 degrees and cloudy with afternoon rain; Sunday: high 50 degrees with a rain/snow mix).

But, today's the day! After lunch, pulling in the parking lot, I saw a co-worker with the top down on his convertible. I told him, "Now, you're just showing off!" He said, "No, this is the first time in years I could do this in March!"

So, when I got home, I hurried up with the little chores (treating the cats, checking the mail, changing clothes, etc.) and was outside by 5:45 PM. It was still 67 degrees, BTW. I got my work gloves and my leaf rake and started raking the front yard. I did it slowly and methodically, so it took a while. But I did a thorough job and didn't hurt my back (always a plus!)

I haven't undone the tarp that's covering the wheelbarrow and lawn furniture yet, so all I could do was to rake the debris into the ditch. Then, knowing it's a bit early but hoping to take advantage of the coming rain, I added some grass seed to the bare spots. Then I put everything away, shut the garage door and washed up. It was 7:15 PM.

I'll have to do the side lawn on the next nice day.

I warmed up a burger for my dinner (I was starving but two seemed too much). I ate it watching some taped TV and then went to sleep. As I write this, it dawns on me I forgot to check and see if the Friday Night Fights were on! Damn!
