Monday Moanin'

On Monday morning, the Blog was late because so was I. Not "late" late, but late enough I had to hustle to get to work on time.

At lunch, I swung by Westborn to get a loaf of bread. I'm not sure why bread wasn't on the list when I came here Saturday. When I got back home, the first thing I saw was the birdfeeder, on the ground! I went out to retrieve it (the cable came undone at the bottom). I'll try to reassemble it later.

Since I was out there anyway, I stretched out the hose its entire length to warm in the abundant sunshine. Hopefully this will help it to coil nicely (it was a mess).

When I got home after work, I just changed my shoes. I grabbed the lawn tractor key and a light jacket and went out to cut the lawn (after I coiled the hose up). This is one of the jobs that didn't get done over the weekend (Hey, it was snowing Saturday morning and cold and windy on Sunday).

I got it all cut, but did no trimming (although it needs it). It was well after 7:00 PM when I got everything buttoned up and was back inside. I had a voicemail from my daughter Melissa and so tried to call her back. No luck. I was just starting to get out my dinner (leftover eggplant Parmesan) when my friend called. We caught each other up on our weekends and hung up at 8:15 PM.

I warmed three slices of the eggplant in the microwave and ate it watching TV. Now that it's the second day, I am more critical. It has a little too much red pepper flakes, too little mozzarella and too much Parmesan cheese, I think. Oh, and the eggplant itself is still undercooked (my theory that the microwave would finish cooking it obviously didn't work). Still, overall, it tasted good and was filling,

I watched taped shows until about 10:00 PM when I started getting sleepy. So, I shut it off and went to bed.
